The PlayAbility Toys Safety Promise

The safety of our toys is our number one priority at PlayAbility Toys. Safety considerations permeate our entire toy development process, from how we design our toys, to the materials we select, to the manufacturers we use, and to the rigorous quality and safety testing protocols that we mandate. Our toys are designed for special children and we feel a deep responsibility to provide only the safest and highest quality toys to this sensitive population. Children, families, and others who use our toys can be assured that they are safe, fun, and that they will meet the promised developmental objectives.

Our quality assurance and safety testing is performed by independent third party laboratories that are certified by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission. We test all components of our products for safety including fabrics, plastics, and paints. These tests include an analysis of the materials used in the toy as well as mechanical testing that will test help to ensure that the toy can be used safely.

The staff at PlayAbility Toys includes individuals who are uniquely qualified to design and produce specialized, high quality toys. Our team includes expertise in toy design and engineering, special education, and toy production. In addition, we have staff members who are also members of special-needs families and who bring their life experiences to the toy design process and our company philosophy. We are dedicated to making sure that all children with special needs are able to enjoy the life-enhancing benefits of properly designed toys.

CPSIA COMPLIANCE STATEMENT

In August 2008, the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) made a number of changes to consumer product safety laws in the USA. Our testing programs have always been in compliance with all US consumer product safety regulations, and we will continue to stay compliant even as some of these laws evolve and change. Our products comply with all new standards mandated by the CPSIA including the new total lead and other material standards. We maintain General Conformity Certificates for all products as required under the CPSIA guidelines.
