"A Tactile Coloring Experience!" Color SENSEation is a pack of eight (8) custom coloring subjects by San Francisco artist Debi Harrison. These are not just pictures to color….they are printed on heavy paper with dark lines, which are also deeply embossed. These pictures are perfect for visually impaired individuals to learn shapes and outlines. Each picture is titled in English with the title in Braille blind embossed underneath. The heavily embossed lines of the drawing are easily followed with the fingers and when using a crayon or paint brush, they provide not only a wonderful teaching format, but are just plain fun!!!
Included: Bear with Balloon, Birds, Butterfly, Flower, Horse, Rainbow, Snails, and Train
“Color is a concept. We associate color with memories and senses other than just sight. This is why the concept of color is not perceived the same from person to person. Understanding this as a concept, allows the artist to embark on an exploration into color that is not only useful in the everyday life of the visually impaired artist, but a lot of fun! So allow yourself to enjoy learning and exploring the art of painting. There are no rules that apply to color choices, so experiment. In art, it is moreover about process, NOT the finished product. Challenge yourself with each stroke of the brush!” Dawn Smiddy, Instructor, Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind
