This ball is similar to our standard Rib-It-Ball™, but made with the highest contrasting colors -- perfect for children with low vision. The unique, patented ribs on Rib-it-Ball™ make it easy to grab even for the smallest of hands!  Many children with special needs who are not able to grasp a typical ball will be able grab, catch, and even throw the Rib-It-Ball.  Children will have hours of fun while improving balance and motor skills. Our standard Rib-it-Balls come with a unique material within its ribs that naturally makes noise and enhances auditory awareness every time the ball is touched or thrown!    Also, it stays within reach because the handle-like ribs prevent it from rolling out of reach so that children experience more hands-on "play time" instead of frustrating "chase time".  The ball also collapses to make storing even our largest ball a breeze!  
The Rib-It-Balls come with a variety of options.  It is available in several sizes: 14 inches, 18 inches, and 30 inches; and can be purchased with or without the crinkle material in the ribs.  We offer this choice because some children with special needs, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorders may be over stimulated by the additional sound and tactile feel of the crinkle material.  Most children love it but you need to know your child’s preferences. We also offer two types of inserts for the balls. Our standard insert is a strong, light weight latex balloon and that blows up easily by mouth (smaller sizes) or with a pump (recommended for the 30 inch size).  These balloons are strong and ultra-light.  We also over the option of a PVC bladder insert instead of a balloon. This is a great option for kids that have a latex allergy. The PVC bladder is a little heavier than the balloon, but it also much stronger.  There is an extra cost associated with the PVC bladder. You can choose the insert that best meets the needs of your child!
